Alfie Table Lamp

Our Alfie Table Lamp is inspired by Louis Poulsen's table lamp which was designed in 1928 and is one of the many development projects carried out by Poul Henningsen in connection with the development of his world-famous three-shade system.

It is based on PH’s original drawings and equipped with the first type of shade holder with screw adjustment. This combination proved a more efficient use of the light source and the light became more downward-facing as a result of the reflection from the upper shade’s white interior.

The frame is painted brass and looks similar to burnished brass surfaces of the original time period, burnishing being a process that is no longer carried out for environmental reasons.
